Generics for All that reaches the last mile

Vaaradhi Trust’s Generics for All programme closes the gap between surplus medical resources and families who need affordable care — through awareness, community camps, and trusted partnerships.

Why it matters

Affordable care should not depend on brand price

Healthcare costs remain a major burden for Indian families, with medicines accounting for a significant share of expenses. Generic medicines provide the same quality, safety, and therapeutic benefits as branded medicines, often at a fraction of the cost. However, limited awareness and misconceptions continue to restrict their adoption.

Generics for All is Vaaradhi Trust's flagship initiative aimed at making affordable medicines accessible to everyone through four key pillars: Awareness, Advocacy, Accessibility, and Research.

How we work

Four Pillars of our work on Generics for All.

Awareness, advocacy, accessibility, and care in the field — designed to move together, not in isolation.

  1. 01

    Awareness

Community outreach, health camps, and clear communication so families understand quality generics and make informed choices.

  2. 02

    Advocacy

Working with policymakers, hospitals, and regulators to strengthen trust, prescribing practice, and the affordable-medicines ecosystem.

  3. 03

    Accessibility

Jan Aushadhi partnerships, community pharmacies, WhatsApp ordering, and last-mile support that close the gap between surplus supply and household need.

  4. 04

    Care in the field

Health camps, Generic Medicine Melas, counselling desks, and partner clinics that bring public-health support into neighbourhoods.
